Yet another music post

Disebabkan aku biasa dok depan laptop je dan layan lagu, ini je la benda aku boleh tulis dlm blog ok. Either that, or watch me ramble about my cats. Deal with it.

Anyway, I've been getting a lot of new music lately. Semua lagu di bawah telah direkemenkan oleh my fellow Adam Lambert fans.

No. 1: Florence + The Machine - lagu dia sangatla best




No. 2: Marina & The Diamonds - her voice is so weird and awesome




No. 3: Goldfrapp - ni Adam sendiri yang rekemen



No. 4: Nikka Costa - my current ear candy + the female version of Adam



No. 5: Jeff Buckley - suara dia macam Adam




I've also been listening to a lot of Radiohead lately, but they're not new to me. I guess because Radiohead songs are not the happiest songs in the world, my listening to them reflects my current mental state, yes? Haha. Ain't nuthin' like Radiohead to pile on even more blues on what you already have.

that last sentence is grammatically incorrect yet I can't find the mistake and it's bugging me! It's the two 'on's! Gaahhh 

Soundtrack of my teenage years

Kengkawan aku dah bising suruh update blog ni. Takde idea la kengkawan. Oh, well, dengarlah lagu-lagu kegemaranku waktu zaman muda remaja dulu...

Zaman aku umur 11-12 tahun aku sangat minat dgn lagu dari kartun Disney. Yang paling aku selalu repeat ialah lagu ni:

HAKUNA MATATA!

Hakuna matata maksudnya no worries in Swahili. Time aku umur 12 thn dulu aku sangat terpikat dgn philosophy hidup no worries tu. Hmm umur 12 tahun nak worry pasal apa ntah.

Bila umur aku meningkat ke 13-14 tahun dan masuk sekolah menengah, muncul pulak zaman kenaikan boyband. Time tu Backstreet Boys baru nak naik dengan lagu ni:

Zaman aku minat boyband sekejap je. Bila aku naik Form 3 (tahun '97!) bff aku time tu mula introduce aku kepada muzik yg lebih edgy dan alternative. Muncul pulak Oasis dalam hidup aku:

Tak lupa juga Blur dengan lagu Beetlebum. I have great memories of this song.

 Sambil classmates aku sibuk layan BSB, N'Sync, Boyzone etc., aku dan Serena (bff aku - sib baik nama aku bukan Blair Waldorf huhuhu) dok layan lagu ni time Sports Day (one of the few times we were allowed to bring our Walkmans). Orang lain dok sebut Nick Carter, Justin Timberlake, Ronan Keating. Our boys were Liam Gallagher, Damon Albarn, Richard Ashcroft.

Oops takde plak music video lagu di atas. Richard Ashcroft ialah lead singer untuk The Verve ni.

Argh lagu ni pun takleh nak embed music video! Time tu lagu Karma Police ni memang stick in my head sebab video dia yang weird. But I didn't learn to love Radiohead until much, much later (in my 20's lol). I love Thom Yorke's voice and Jonny Greenwood is my favourite guitarist ever ever ever.

In between the years aku ada jugak phase lain di mana aku minat Michael Jackson (time baby sampai about 5 yrs old), Madonna (zaman Darjah 1-3), nasyid (zaman uni), Adam Lambert (sekarang hehe) tapi alternative music adalah genre yg aku minat dari 15 thn - dah 13 tahun I'm into this music. No current hit on the radio can compare to 90's rock IMO. Nak muntah aku dengar lagu Bieber, Kesha, Miley dan yg seangkatan dengan mereka. That's why iPod dah jadi teman setia aku, at least takyah la aku dengar lagu-lagu rubbish kat radio sekarang.

Walau bagaimanapun, I still love Adam Lambert.

Dah.
